Marouane FellainiMarouane Fellaini has been linked so strongly, to so many different clubs over the course of this summer, that it’s difficult to believe that a deal won’t get done before the transfer window slams shut.

There’s no smoke without fire, after all.

According to The Mirror, Manchester United manager David Moyes will offer his former club, Everton, £25m in a bid to secure Fellaini’s services. Could this finally be enough to tempt the Toffees to sell?

Fellaini was spectacular last season and was especially impressive against the big clubs, where he used his physical power and technical ability to bamboozle the opposition. He stung Manchester United on a couple of occasions.

Moyes knows the player better than just about anybody else. He knows exactly how gifted the midfielder (cum-striker, cum-defender) is and will be a good judge as to whether he has the mentality to make it at Old Trafford.

It’s hard to see the big Belgium bruiser slumping at Manchester United, especially under Moyes’ tutelage. He has all the qualities necessary to quickly insert himself into the fan’s good books and looks to be ready to take the step up.

He’s more than just an impressive hair-cut. I’d argue that he’s the complete midfielder. He can tackle, pass, beat his man, dribble, shoot, defend… the list goes on. Best of all, he’s no ‘Jack of all trades, master of none’. He’s a good, effective footballer.

At 25-years-old, the best years of his career are still ahead of him. Now is the perfect time for Moyes to move in.

Manchester United are believed to have readied a stand-alone bid for Fellaini with an approximate value of £20m, plus extras. That’s a lot of money, but it’d be worth it for United. Everton certainly won’t want to let him go for a penny less.

United have started the season strongly, but  need to bolster their midfield. Moyes has been on the hunt for creative types like Thiago Alcantara and Cesc Fabregas. Marouane Fellaini certainly ticks that box. But he’d also add a competitive edge to United’s midfield and help to protect the back-four. This deal is beginning to look more and more essential for Manchester United.

Signing Fellaini could be exactly what the Red Devils need to keep them on top this season.

What’s your take? Should David Moyes look to secure a £25m deal for Marouane Fellaini?

Utd missed out on Fellaini’s release clause price of 23 Million, Everton now hold all the Aces, Fellaini will go for 28 Million and Baines for 15 Million, if Utd won’t pay that, then they should move on and stop annoying Everton – COYB !
