Angry Liverpool Fan Improvises…

The latest of these was a Liverpool fan. The Reds supporter obviously didn’t foresee the fall-out between the Anfield club and their star striker when he bought the 2011/12 home kit with ‘Suarez’ printed on the back. The Uruguayan forward quickly became a fan favourite following his transfer from Ajax in 2011.

But after Liverpool failed to qualify for the Champions League for the 3rd consecutive season, Suarez decided he wanted to leave the club. If there is one thing Kopites hate, it’s an un-loyal player.

This fan is obviously no exception as he took to the duct tape to change Suarez’ number 7 to the 10 of Liverpool’s new starlet Phillipe Coutinho. The fan even took to duct taping Suarez’ name; writing, in permanent marker, Coutinho. Not a bad effort. Suffice to say its better economically than the football fan favourite, burning.

The latter has been used on twice in 3 years by Reds fans. The first victim was Fernando Torres. The Kop’s favourite Spaniard left for Premier League rivals, Chelsea, breaking fans hearts. Suarez was the second following the recent transfer speculation.

The Suarez news continues to rumble on, with the forward being forced to train on his own. The club have stated more than once that Suarez is not for sale, however Suarez has yet to change his stance publicly. Whatever happens, I’m sure this will not be the last time we see a fan edited kit.
