Victor Wanyama is a genuine power house in midfield, a genuine box-to-box midfielder with the ability to play in defense, it’s no surprise clubs are looking at Victor Wanyama.

Signed by Celtic in 2011 for a snip at £900,00, the powerful midfielder has since gone on to impress in Scottish football and last season stepped it up a level, to impress in the Champions League.

He’ll certainly provide a draw for teams who are looking to add a little muscle and power to their midfields. Whilst there are an increasing number of technically-minded midfielders in the Premier League, i’m sure that there will be plenty of interested parties.

Teams are starting to take stock of Wanyama’s performances, with Southampton and Cardiff set to battle it out for the midfielder, with both clubs rumoured to have bids of £12m pounds accepted.

Yet they are not the only clubs in the mix, with Galatasaray, Stoke City and Newcastle all ready to enter the battle to sign the combative midfielder.

Southampton appear to have made the first move with Wanyama reportable on quote saying “I am on holiday, I am only hearing this from the media but I can say the deal is far from being complete. Yes, my club has agreed terms with Southampton, but I will also have to agree to terms too.” (although according to the Daily Record, the player has not been able to agree personal terms with the Saints. It looks like he’s set for bigger and better things – no offense Southampton fans).

What club do you think Wanyama will eventually end up at? Will he be able to adapt to a far superior League? Will he be playing in Turkey next season? Does the combative midfielder have what it takes to make it at a top club?
