Coutinho or Ince: Who’s the right young player for Liverpool?

|

Liverpool already made their first major addition in the January transfer market by snapping up Daniel Sturridge early on.

The £12m striker has had a positive effect on this Liverpool side, scoring a few important goals and bolstering their position in the Premier League.

His impact will hopefully encourage Brendan Rodgers to go back into the transfer market and look to make a couple more additions before the window slams shut.

It could be just what the club needs to give them the edge in the fight for fourth place.

The media certainly haven’t been quiet when it comes to linking players to the Reds. It seems however, that the bidding comes down to two young players: Phillipe Coutinho (Source: The Independent) and Tom Ince (Source: The Daily Mail).

Both are exciting young talents and in an ideal world Liverpool would snap up each of them and make them the future of their midfield. Given their financial situation however, it’s fairly likely Liverpool will have to pick just one.

Brendan Rodgers may be faced with something of a Sophie’s choice. Who should he pick: Coutinho or Ince?

Ince is an extremely effective winger who has made some serious waves at Blackpool this season. He’s got pace, great feet and he gets into extremely dangerous areas. Blackpool seem to be working extremely hard to keep hold of him, but if Liverpool come in with a good enough offer, I’m sure they’ll budge.

Then there’s Coutinho, Inter Milan’s Brazilian ace. The Independent say that Liverpool have lodged a £8m deal for the playmaker and are keen to bring him to Anfield. As things currently stand, the Reds have some serious competition from Southampton.

But it’s my belief that Coutinho should be Liverpool’s next addition.

Yes, Ince looks like a top young player, but he’s only really tried and tested in The Championship. Coutinho has experience in a top European league and was once considered to be the future of Inter Milan.

Whilst the Brazilian doesn’t seem to be up there with compatriots Oscar, Lucas Moura or Neymar, he has bags of potential. I’d say that’s something Liverpool should be buying into – even if it takes another double digit transfer.

What’s your take? Should Liverpool be targeting Coutinho or Ince?

Courtinho is injured, are we really not gonna learn are past lessons and buy an injured player FFS ( Aquaman & Carroll ) Then why do you think inter want too sell, because he can’t even get a game at a sub standard inter Milan ? Add too that he was out on loan for the whole of last season at Espanyol, and didn’t play much there ? I want too know who is picking these players,we need a McMahon or a Souness not another 5 foot wafer in midfield !!!
