Arsenal’s flop squad: Time to clear the stables?

|

First of all, I will make a comment on the possible extension of  Denilson’s loan to Sao Paulo for me this is a terrible move for Arsenal football club, not because this is a player they should be keeping hold of but because after that year he would have one single year on his contract remaining , as all gooners know this isn’t a position any club want to be in whether they want to keep the player or not. What is more worrying is that Arsenal are actually impressed by his performances in Brazil and are actually tempted to bring the Brazilian back to north London (source: Premiership Talk)

Next on the agenda is the fact that Arshavin may have blown his move to Russia, with his comments about the Russian fans at Euro 2012, not the smartest words to come out the Russians mouth since joining the club Although if it keeps him at Arsenal, I am more than happy. Many fans want Arshavin out but for me Arshavin is the most effective creative midfielder we have. I’d prefer to see him in the hole rather than on the left wing. If arsenal can get him the sort of form he showed for Russia over Euro 2012 then Arsenal will have a world class creative force again.

News on Aaron Ramsey’s future has begun to resurface with reports saying he could be subject from a bid from Fulham (Source: Daily Mail). I would hate to lose Ramsey on a permanent basis, but a loan spell away from the club to a Premier League team wouldn’t  be such a bad Idea, with the player struggling for form and confidence last season a season away from the pressure of Arsenal may do him some good.

It’s interesting that Niklas Bendtner now has a worldwide club selection of clubs to choose from after scoring one goal at the euros. If I was Arsene I’d sign up Nic;s agent – if he can get every club in the world interested in  Bendtner, maybe he can flog Denilson to! Is it really a wonder Nic thinks he’s the best player in the world when his agent is whispering in his ear?

In other news Yossi Benayoun has ended his loan stint with Arsenal. I hope all gunners join me in saying ‘thank you and good luck’ for all his hard work in an Arsenal shirt. He won’t go down as a legend but he will always be welcome for helping us in a tough season.

What’s your take? Who should stay and who should go? who could be joing on loan this season? who will leave to gain experince this season? and should Ramsey leave? Get in touch with us through the comments section!

How about this is football clearing out their flop bloggers? Would be nice if the bloggers on here could show some respect to players who are maybe not good enough for Arsenal, but who are nevertheless still pretty decent at their job. Let’s face it the writer of this article is not exactly broadsheet material, so in your terms he could be classified as a flop.
