Surely Leicester City’s owners have made a hash of the whole affair?

Well here we are just a few days down the line from the shock announcement that Sven had been sacked.

And,a s was only to be expected, we have been linked with every out of work manager and one or two that aren’t!

I am sure if  Osma Bin Laden & Elvis were alive we would have been linked with them as well.

Fans favourite Martin O’Neill hasn’t even been approached yet according to Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn in a TV interview and yet the daily papers are reporting one day O’Neill would consider the job only to follow this the next day with the fact that he wouldn’t return.

And to be fair these are so called ‘respected’ papers that are carrying these reports.

Like I said names are being added to the rumour list even as I write this with local bookies reporting enquiries about Kevin Keegan.

Will the owners go for the big name surely needed to fill Sven’s boots and promote the club world wide as is their intention or a manager of Championship experience but who would unlikely fill the first criteria.

The former requirement would rule in the likes of Mark Hughes & Carlo Ancelotti but ruling out the likes of Billy Davies & Roy Keane while the latter does exactly the reverse.

If we applied this criteria to when a possible replacement it would result in two names standing out: GLEN HODDLE & KEVIN KEEGAN.

In the bookies eyes they are not strong favourites with Hoddle drifting out to 40/1 & Keegan coming in at only 25/1.
Although these odds change on almost an hourly basis at the moment.

But both managers are big names, both ex England Managers & both have managed in the championship and both have got those teams promoted to The Premier League, Hoddle with Swindon Town and Keegan at Newcastle United

Another name that fills this criteria is Brian Robson.

Big name and got Middlesbrough promoted, but then went on to get them relegated again. But he is big in Thailand the Raksriaksorn’s home country but has probably ruled himself out with the recent C4 programme about buying clubs, a programme that dragged LCFC & The Raksriaksorn’s into the story.

O’Neill?

I Keep coming back to this man.

My head tells me it just won’t happen, my heart is hoping that it might.
If his return goes pear shaped will it ruin the memories I have of the man that led my beloved club to some of, if not THE best years of his life?
