Is Cristiano right to rule out the possibility of playing for Barcelona?

Cristiano Ronaldo, who is currently struggling with an injury and is racing to be back at time for the match against Levante, says that he can not discard the possibility that he will move clubs, as some people have suggested he will do at some time. But there’s one club where Ronaldo can’t ever imagine himself playing:

“I never shut the door to any club at all. But if i ever change my team then Barcelona are a extremely distant oppurtunity. To talk about opening other doors would be done halfhearted. But in this moment of time I’m very happy. As has already been said in other interviews i would sign for playing for Real Madrid for the rest of my life”

Then Cristiano continues in todays edition of AS to talk about the image he has of the club he’s playing for at the moment:

“Madrid are the club in the whole world who are the richest and who have the most history and has won the most Champions Leauge-titles. The demands on us are very high and emotionally there’s a pressure on us when we walk down the streets which is good”

“I want to win something big this season as the Champions League or La Liga”

Sure a Copa del Rey title, which the team won last season is not enough. Most of all Cristiano knows that he needs to start winning the big titles again, with Real Madrid this time around. This is said mostly because he so badly wants to be the  number one in the world again and not let Messí win the prizes again. Further success may well see him established as the world’s best once more.

Finally he thinks last seasons “sucess” has led the team to where it is today:

“The feeling is that we are ahead to something because of our previous season. We have what it takes to achieve sucess but we must have patience and respect other teams, who also have a objective to win”

The team were expected to do great things last season but from a Madridista mindview the team just didn’t do that good. But as has been said before when Mourinho takes charge over a team, the second season is Mourinho’s strongest side to his management game.
