The highlights of this weekend’s Premier League action:

|

Rush goalkeeper rules down at the Stadium of Light with Sunderland’s Seb Larsson making an incredible save. Sir Alex is now said to be considering a bid for the Swede as a replacement for David De Gea whilst Joey Barton was seen ‘tweeting’ his outrage in the tunnel at half time.

In one of the most bizarre events seen in the last decade, prolific non scorer Emile Heskey managed to get his name on the score sheet. Managers around the country were left gobsmacked. Apart from Arsene Wenger who has not yet seen this incident and therefore has no comment on the situation. Wenger however did display his showmanship on the side-lines at the emirates by portraying the best impression of Michael Douglas in the film ‘Falling Down’ that I have ever seen.

And in what can only be described as a feat of super human strength, West Brom’s Shane Long out muscled Chelsea’s Alex to score a fine goal. Long was later seen challenging Chuck Norris to an arm wrestle.

Debut of the weekend – A close call between Arsenals Emmanuel Frimpong and Everton’s Ross Barkley who both delivered fine performances in their respected midfields. However Frimpongs obvious grudge against Charlie Adam leg gives the win to Barkley who showed quick feet and an eye for a pass in Everton’s loss to QPR.

Goal of the weekend – A biased decision but the winner has to be Aston Villa’s Gabriel Agbonlahor who has seemingly stepped up to the plate in the absence of Ashley Young with a fine goal that left Blackburn’s Michel Salgado chasing his own feet and villa with a comfortable win.
