Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest news update involving Troy Parrott that emerged on social media recently.
The Irish Independent recently reported that while Parrott has agreed to join Millwall on loan from Tottenham, he had turned down an offer from Celtic. Preston North End, Swansea City, Stoke City and Bournemouth were some of the other clubs that had offers turned down by the Spurs youngster, who feels that his development will be aided by working under Gary Rowett at Millwall.
This update was relayed on Twitter by the Daily Record and it caught the attention of many Celtic fans. They seemed angry at this news, with criticism being aimed at Parrott as well as the publication itself.

18-year-old Parrott has already made his Premier League debut for the Spurs first team, making a total of two brief appearances this season. In the Premier League 2 division, he scored a total of three times in two matches for Spurs’ Under-23 side in the 2019/20 season. Meanwhile, in the UEFA Youth League, he racked up six goals in four appearances for the club’s Under-19 side (as per Transfermarkt).
Other Celtic fans weren’t pleased with the news and didn’t want to believe the information about the young striker.
Phil missed that out of his “we’ve got 17 million ring fenced for Forster”

While Parrott may have rejected Celtic, the club still seems to be in the hunt for a striker, and that is evident from how they have reportedly had a bid rejected for Peterborough United striker Ivan Toney. As for Albian Ajeti, his move is getting held up because the West Ham man is taking his time to make a decision about his future.
So while they may not have had a positive outcome in their pursuit of Parrott, there is still a chance that they sign a striker in the coming weeks.
