A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a tweet showing Fabian Schar’s fantastic goal from last season in a 2-0 win over Burnley at St. James’ Park.
The strike from the Swiss international won Newcastle’s Goal of the Season (picked by the players) and it could be the best out of the six he has scored since joining from Deportivo La Coruna for just £3m in July 2018.

The 28-year-old picked up a pass from Javier Manquillo (1:12) saw nothing was on and decided to hit a strike that flew off his boot, crashed against the inside of the near post and flew into the opposite corner to send those inside St. James’ Park mental. (1:15)

This goal from Schar was a screamer (1:15), and it was when he was at the peak of his powers as he topped the Sky Sports Power Rankings just after he had scored this goal.
Since signing for that bargain £3m price, Schar has made 47 appearances for the Toon and scored six goals.
He has quickly become a favourite on Tyneside and many Toon fans love this goal.
