Chelsea are the early favourites to sign Romelu Lukaku.
According to a report in The Sun the Everton striker has broken off contract talks aimed at extending his stay at Goodison Park.
The biggest clubs in Europe are expected to bid for Lukaku who left Chelsea for Everton in July 2014 for a £28m fee.
Everton are expecting bidding to start at £70m for the striker who recently became the club’s leading all time Premier League scorer.
A return to Chelsea has regularly been speculated on with the player dropping hints that he has unfinished business in London.
Manchester United and Real Madrid are expected to be interested with only a select group of clubs able to afford the fee and personal terms.
Everton were prepared to offer Lukaku £130,000/week but it’s believed that the level of buy-out in the contract caused the deal to collapse with the club now looking for a new first choice striker to replace the Belgian.
