John Terry has turned down three lucrative offers to go to the MLS in order to finish the season at Chelsea as a champion.

According to a report in the Daily Star the former England captain has rejected offers to go to LA Galaxy, New York Red Bull and Orlando City to see out his contract at Chelsea.

Terry signed a 12 month deal with a big pay cut in last summer to stay on at Stamford Bridge but has dropped out of the side as Antonio Conte’s side has evolved.

At the age of 36 he will wait until the summer to decide what direction to take his career with offers on the table from China and the USA.

The defender has previously stated that he could never play against Chelsea which would rule out moving to another Premier League club.

Terry is expected to move into coaching or management once he hangs up his boots but seems certain to follow former England team-mates Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard by experiencing a different type of football before retiring.
