Everton are on the trail of Polish midfielder Karol Linetty.

According to a report on talkSPORT the Sampdoria midfielder has caught the eye of Ronald Koeman’s scouting network.

Linetty moved to Serie A from Poland last summer and quickly made his mark with some classy displays in the Sampdoria midfield.

Everton have lowered the age range of their transfer targets after struggling to attract more established names to Goodison Park.

Sampdoria put the midfielder on a five year contract when he joined in the summer but may have to review that deal if a firm offer comes in from Everton.

Koeman has been given the funds to push Everton into Champions League contention but has struggled to make progress in the two transfer windows that he has been involved in.

Everton have been scouting intensely across Europe for fresh talent with the reports they’ve received on Linetty demanding follow up action.
