Sunderland, Hull and Middlesbrough have been linked with Dimitar Berbatov.

According to a report in the Daily Mail the 36-year-old is fully fit and looking for a club to satisfy his ambitions.

The former Manchester United and Spurs striker hasn’t kicked a ball since leaving PAOK Salonika at the end of the 2015/16 season and is back in England looking for a club.

According to the player any offers will be judged on footballing merit rather than the club that makes the largest financial offer.

Berbatov has got 94 career goals and would love to get the chance to hit three figures.

Despite being branded as lazy and having his work rate questioned there are bound to be clubs willing to take a chance on the Bulgarian in the hope that half a dozen goals can make a difference.

Sunderland would be an obvious move with Davie Moyes almost wholly dependent on Jeramain Defoe for goals. The chance of bringing in another strike option could give the side a further goal threat and also take some of the pressure away from Defoe.
