Conte refuses to give up on Llorente

Antonio Conte is exploring new ways of getting Fernando Llorente to Stamford Bridge.

According to a report in The Daily Mail the Chelsea boss is still on the trail of his former Juventus striker despite a deal falling through when Michy Batshuayi.

Conte wants to bring in quality back up for Diego Costa with 31-year-old Llorente fitting the bill perfectly.

Despite Swansea’s disastrous league form the Spaniard has scored six times in the Premier League.

Paul Clement would rather hold on to the striker but if the right deal is offered and a replacement is lined up would consider selling Llorente.

Swansea signed Llorente from Sevilla during the summer on a two year contract but would find it difficult to hang on to the striker if they are relegated to The Championship.

Conte had hoped to keep Batshuayi but the striker is determined to get first team football rather than act as back up to Costa.
