Arsenal look set to lose out on Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil after applying a wages ceiling of £200,000 per week.

According to a report in The Standard the Gunners duo are looking for parity with Paul Pogba’s £290,000/week deal at Manchester United.

Ozil currently picks up £140,000/week as Arsenal’s highest paid player with Sanchez getting £10,000/week less.

Arsenal pushed the boat out to bring in both players from La Liga but face a big decision about whether they give way again for further mega deals.

Sanchez and Ozil are out of contract in June 2017 which realistically gives Arsenal six months to sort out new contracts.

Both players are in demand elsewhere, if Arsenal fail to move above their £200,000/week limit it looks like Wenger will have to begin the process of recruiting replacements.

Manchester City are keen on both players while representatives of Sanchez have sounded out clubs in China about a move.
