Arsenal are lining up a £20m bid for out of favour AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca.

According to a report in The Sun Arsene Wenger is determined to add extra firepower in January as back up to Alexis Sanchez.

With Danny Wellbeck and Olivier Giroud suffering through injury Wenger is very aware of his side’s dependency on Sanchez.

The Chilean strikers’ recent hamstring issues while on international duty highlighted the issue with the Arsenal boss determined to bring in quality striking support.

Bacca has fallen out of favour at the San Siro but did score an impressive 18 goals last season after opting for Milan over interest from Arsenal in the summer of 2015.

Wenger has kept tabs on the Columbian striker despite than snub and would have no problem in putting in an offer if Bacca was interested in a move.

Milan are in the middle of take over talks and are unlikely to stand in the way of a £20m bid for a player not in their current first team plans.
