West Ham are preparing a January move for Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson.

According to reports on ESPN the 24-year-old is viewed as the man to fire the goals to lift the Hammers away from the relegation dogfight.

Wilson signed a four year contract at the start of the season but could look forward to a significant pay hike if he was to move to London.

With Andy Carroll’s continuing fitness problems Slaven Bilic is keen to find someone to convert the chances being created by Dimitri Payet.

Despite the negative publicity Payet’s stats are among the best in the division in terms of creating chances.

West Ham are expected to be one of the busiest clubs in the January transfer window with Championship football at the London Stadium unthinkable.

Bringing in new players with no affinity to the Boleyn Ground is viewed as essential to allow the club to progress at their new location- playing Premier League football.

Wilson has scored five times this season in 13 Premier League appearances.
