Liverpool are showing interest in Sead Kolasinac of Schalke 04 to fill their problem left back position.

The Mirror has picked up on a report from Bild noting Jurgen Klopp’s interest in the 23-year-old who is out of contract at the end of this season.

Schalke have the option to sell during January or see the player run down his contract and quit on a Bosman during the summer.

Roma and Manchester City are also keeping tabs on Kolasinac but Liverpool are hoping that the appeal of working with Jurgen Klopp can swing the player towards Anfield.

James Milner has been filling in at left-back in recent weeks but snapping up Kolasinac would instantly strengthen that position.

Although the 23-year-old was born and brought up in Germany, and played at youth international level for Germany, he had no hesitation in opting for his parents homeland Bosnia whom he featured for in the 2014 World Cup Finals in Brazil.
