Bonaventura blow for Conte

|

Chelsea look like losing out on signing Giacomo Bonaventura.

TalkSPORT understands that the midfielder is about to sign a new contract with AC Milan despite the interest of Antonio Conte.

The 27-year-old attacking midfielder is in his third season with AC Milan who are keen to get him to extend his stay at the San Siro.

Conte gave Bonaventura his international debut in 2013 and tried to take him to London during the summer.

AC Milan are well aware of Conte’s interest and have been prepared to push the boat out to meet the midfielder’s personal demands.

It has been reported that Bonaventura is only on £16,000/week with his present contract but that will be blown out the water with his new contract.

Conte is using his contacts across Italy to bolster his side’s title prospects with the new Stamford Bridge boss keen to strengthen in January while many of his title rivals have to juggle their title bid with European commitments.
