He’s no longer an automatic first choice selection at Manchester United and now, both Inter Milan and Jiangsu Suning are fighting it out to land Wayne Rooney in the summer, report The Express.

According to CalcioMercatoWeb, it is Chinese outfit Jiangsu Suning who appear the most keen given the fact they are preparing their first Rooney offer in June.

That said, it is reported that Inter Milan are mulling over a huge striking overhaul in which Rooney would be one of the new boys to arrive at San Siro.

It is also claimed that Inter will hold back on any offer until the end of the current campaign given the fact the Nerazzurri know Rooney is focused on getting back into the Manchester United squad for the time being.

In terms of a transfer fee, Rooney is still under contract at Old Trafford until 2019 and it is rumoured that the England international could still command a transfer fee of around £27 million.
