He’s been interesting Arsenal for longer than we care to remember but Julian Draxler is currently in his final season with Wolfsburg according to his agent, report talkSPORT.

Vocal in his determination to part ways with the Bundesliga outfit this summer, Draxler ended up staying at Volkswagen Arena but the 23-year-old won’t see a transfer blocked for 2017/18.

In no uncertain terms, Draxler’s agent Fabio Parisi claimed: “Over the summer Draxler was on the verge of joining PSG, who had offered nearly £59m.

“He will definitely leave Wolfsburg at the end of the season. He would’ve gladly run to join Juve and is the ideal trequartista for Allegri.”

Arsenal failed in a bid to recruit Draxler from former club Schalke back in January 2014 with the German club’s sporting director Horst Heldt claiming that Arsene Wenger didn’t stump up enough money.

While it remains to be seen whether Arsenal will become embroiled in a bidding war for Draxler at the end of the season, competition for his signature is sure to be serious.

Judging by Parisi’s comments, it appears as if Juventus are Draxler’s preference right now with the agent claiming: “Max Allegri had spoken to Draxler, they were in sync and there was an immediate rapport between them.”
