Failing to make a single matchday squad under Jurgen Klopp so far this term, Liverpool outcast Mamadou Sakho is destined to quit Anfield in January, report Goal.com.

According to L’Equipe, the Reds will be actively looking to remove Sakho from their wage bill in the January transfer window following the player’s indiscipline in pre-season.

Having had to make do with Under-23 football for the Reds so far this season, it appears there is no way back for Sakho who also walked out of Anfield before a Merseyside Derby against Everton in September 2014.

With Klopp not tolerating a player with this attitude in his ranks, Sakho has even failed to forge a part of the German’s matchday squads for EFL Cup matches.

Ultimately, the situation is a shame for the 26-year-old French international who showed promise in his time at Anfield.

Racking up 55 Premier League appearances for the Reds to date, it appears the former Paris Saint-Germain man will be stuck on that figure barring a remarkable turnaround in circumstances.
