The season is truly under-way now and with the international break now gone, it’s time to focus back on the Premier League and of course, your latest FanDuel picks.

The early exchanges of a season can be a real minefield for fantasy football managers. You have no idea of how a team will start, who their strongest players are going to be and perhaps crucially who that break-through player is that’ll win you points whilst your rivals haven’t even given him a thought.

For example, who’d have thought Hull were going to record two wins from their opening three games? Meanwhile many would have trusted in Daniel Sturridge starting for Liverpool when he’s barely had a sniff. In many fantasy football games you’d already be playing catch-up and that’s where FanDuel gets you out of trouble.

Each weekend is a new chance to win, what happened in the past bares no holding on your latest chances, if only other walks of life were like that too…

So, as the Premier League table takes shape and the form players begin to emerge here at FootballFanCast we’ve taken a look at FOUR of the hidden gems you should get in your FanDuel team for this weekend to give you that crucial edge and remember: FanDuel will match your first deposit all the way up to £400, so what’s not to like?

Scott Dann

unsung-hero-2

Scott Dann is one of the best centre-halves outside of the top teams in the league so you know you can rely on him to get you good FanDuel points.

It’s the Palace man’s reading of the game that makes him a strong choice for FanDuel players whilst his aerial threat, as he proved with that cracking header against Bournemouth, is always going to put you in with a good chance of a strong points return.

It’s a winnable game against Middlesbrough for Palace this weekend and Dann will surely be key if a win comes to pass.

Jason Puncheon

unsung-hero-1

Puncheon, as you can see, created the joint most chances last time out against Bournemouth. The Eagles were battering on the Cherries door all game and but for Artur Boruc, could have had a cricket score.

This weekend, they travel north to Middlesbrough in another key game in the race for survival and with Christian Benteke and Loic Remy now in their ranks you can be pretty safe in the knowledge Puncheon is going to put chances on a plate for them.

Papy Djilobodji

unsung-hero-3

Djilobodji joined Sunderland this Summer after a season at Chelsea and definitely falls into that category of ‘didn’t even think about him at the start of the year.’ Now though, you need to be thinking of getting him in your FanDuel side.

The Black Cats have a big game against Everton this weekend at home so David Moyes is bound to want to get one over on his old side and now you can get one over on your mates with this inspired choice. A real bargain.

Nordin Amrabat

unsung-hero-4

Watford travel to West Ham this weekend as they look to pile more pressure on the Hammers whilst also kick-starting their season.

It’ll need to be a resolute display from Walter Mazzarri’s men if they are to get a result and Amrabat will be key to that. The Hornets will need to get an early foothold in this game to ensure they have a chance and the Moroccan’s ability to win the ball will be crucial.
