He’s struggled to make an impression at Manchester United so far but big money summer arrival Henrik Mkhitaryan might’ve joined Arsenal this summer, report Squawka via Mino Raiola.

Dutch super agent Raiola was speaking to the Daily Mail about Paul Pogba’s world record breaking transfer to Manchester United and also shared some details about Mkhitaryan’s undisclosed transfer.

“Mkhitaryan was more complicated. We had almost agreed with another Premier League club but Dortmund wouldn’t let him go, then United pushed it over the line,” claimed Raiola.

Squawka are claiming that other club to be Arsenal with Arsene Wenger eventually choosing not to add another attacking midfielder to his squad this summer with Granit Xhaka, Rob Holding, Lucas Perez and Shkordran Mustafi representing his four major deals.

As for Mkhitaryan, the Armenian international has struggled for starting opportunities in Jose Mourinho’s squad so far this season with the former Borussia Dortmund man making a single Premier League start while coming on as a substitute in three other outings.

With Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial starting in the wide positions against Watford yesterday afternoon, not to mention Juan Mata and Memphis Depay being available, Mkhitaryan faces a battle to achieve regular starting opportunities at Old Trafford.
