He yet again started Sunday’s game with Swansea City from the bench and now, The Express claim Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas could move to AC Milan in January.

The reports claim the Blues have reached a ‘verbal agreement’ with the Rossoneri to sign the 29-year-old Spanish international with CalcioMercatoWeb claiming the deal could take the form of a £2.5 million loan.

A Blues player since 2014 of course, the former Arsenal captain has simply been unable to break Antonio Conte’s preferred central midfield pairing of N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic so far this season.

Having failed to start a single Premier League fixture for the Blues this 2016/17 campaign, a player of Fabregas’ calibre won’t want to be sitting out too many more fixtures in the prime of his career.

CalcioMercatoWeb‘s report claims that talks have been progressing between Chelsea and AC Milan for a number of days and that there is now a verbal agreement in place.

AC Milan are of course fallen giants from both Serie A and the European stage but thanks to a Chinese takeover worth £700 million, the Rossoneri would now have the financial power to compete for a player such as Fabrgeas.
