According to reports from The Daily Star, West Ham have beaten Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of former Chelsea youngster Domingos Quina.

The Portuguese prodigy unexpectedly quit Stamford Bridge in March due to a lack of first-team opportunities, leading to links with a host of the Blues’ London rivals.

Indeed, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United were all mentioned as potential suitors last month and The Daily Star have documented their interest once again.

The Gunners were believed to be leading the race for the 16-year-old’s signature, with reports in March even claiming they were 48 hours away from sealing his services.

But Mirror Football revealed yesterday that the young midfielder was on the verge of a transfer to West Ham and according to The Daily Star, the deal has now gone through.

Quina released a photograph of him signing a Hammers contract on Instagram, with the caption; “Happy to enjoy @whufc_official family Now time to work. Thank God.”
