Andre Schurrle

According to reports from Mirror Football, Tottenham Hotspur are ready to offer former Chelsea flop Andre Schurrle the chance to return to the Premier League during the summer transfer window.

The German international left Stamford Bridge for Wolfsburg in January 2015 after falling out of favour with Jose Mourinho, managing just 14 Premier League appearances during his final six months in west London.

The Bundesliga outfit snapped up the winger-forward for a whopping £22million but he’s unsettled at the Volkswagen Arena, reportedly unhappy working under head coach Dieter Hecking.

Mirror Football claim the 25-year-old is already eyeing a move away and Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as a potential next destination, with work on a summer transfer already underway.

Spurs will be looking to recruit for a Champions League campaign during the coming transfer window and Schurrle offers plenty of experience in Europe, registering 41 appearances in continental competitions.

With his contract not due to expire for another three years, however, its likely Wolfsburg will command a significant transfer fee.
