Andre Schurrle

According to reports from Kicker, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in bringing former Chelsea winger Andre Schurrle back to the Premier League during the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old left west London for Wolfsburg in January 2015, after just 18 months at Stamford Bridge, as the Blues honed in on the Premier League title.

But the winger-forward is struggling to find top form under head coach Dieter Hecking, netting just ten times in 58 appearances across all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit, and reportedly unsettled at the Volkswagen Arena.

That’s lead to rumours the German international could leave during the coming transfer window and earlier this week, he was linked with a shock return to the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur.

Kicker document their interest once again but also moot Liverpool as potential summer suitors – perhaps due to Jurgen Klopp’s well-known association with the Bundesliga from his time as Dortmund boss.

However, with Schurrle’s contract not due to expire for another three years, Die Wolfe will feel under no obligation to sell during the coming transfer window.
