According to reports from Mirror Football, Crystal Palace, Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion are all targeting Blackburn Rovers defender Shane Duffy ahead of the summer transfer window.
The former Everton youngster has become a mainstay in the Rovers starting XI since moving to Ewood Park in summer 2014. He’s been enjoying particularly strong form this season, netting twice in 31 Championship appearances whilst averaging 1.1 tackles, 2.6 interceptions, 6.7 clearances and a division-best 7.4 aerial duels per match.

The Ireland international is attracting plenty of Premier League interest ahead of the coming transfer window, in no small part due to his contract expiring at the end of next season – meaning Rovers could be forced to cash in this summer in fear of losing him on a free transfer.
Shields Gazette revealed last week that Sunderland are considering a £5million summer swoop for the 6 foot 4 centre-half, with Sam Allardyce on the hunt for a replacement to exit-bound veteran Wes Brown. But Mirror Football report that Crystal Palace will move for Duffy if a Premier League rival bid for in-demand defender Scott Dann, whilst West Brom are continuing to monitor the Rovers star.
Hull City are also keen, but will likely only be able to sign Duffy if they gain promotion to the Premier League. Steve Bruce’s side dropped down to third place before this weekend’s round of fixtures, following a midweek defeat to Birmingham City.
