According to reports from The Daily Mail, Chelsea and West Ham target Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will snub a transfer to another London club this summer – putting fellow suitors Liverpool and Manchester City at the front of the queue for his signature.
The England international hasn’t developed as expected since joining the Emirates ranks from Southampton in 2011 when he was just a teenager. Recent reports have claimed he’s been effectively transfer listed by the Gunners, who will look to recoup their original £12million investment during the summer transfer window.

That has seen the 22-year-old linked with London rivals Chelsea and West Ham, but The Daily Mail claim he’ll snub advances from other sides in the English capital out of respect for the club that gave him a chance in the Premier League and the platform to become a regular England international.
Consequentially, Liverpool and Manchester City now represent the most plausible next destinations for the underperforming midfielder. The Reds were mooted as potential suitors at the start of the month, whilst The Times reported earlier this week that Pep Guardiola wants to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain during his first transfer window at the Etihad.
But widespread interest in the former Saints prodigy has surely reminded the Gunners of his enormous potential – so perhaps the north London club will undergo a change of heart regarding Oxlade-Chamberlain’s future before the summer transfer window officially opens.
