According to separate reports from The Sun, PSG are eyeing a £50million transfer swoop for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge; whilst Manchester United are set to hand Marcus Rashford a £15k per week contract.

The Champions League title contenders look set to lose star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a free transfer this summer, whilst fellow forward Edinson Cavani could also leave Parc de Princes, and The Sun claim they’re lining up the Liverpool assassin as a potential replacement.

The England international boasts 47 goals in 81 appearances for the Reds and manager Jurgen Klopp is reluctant to let him leave. But notorious injury problems have limited Sturridge to just 19 Premier League outings since the start of last season – so transfer interest from PSG could well convince them to sell.

The Ligue 1 champions are reportedly prepared to pay £50million for the crocked 26-year-old, which would constitute Liverpool’s joint-second largest transfer fee ever received alongside 2011 Chelsea signing Fernando Torres.

Meanwhile, The Sun also claim Manchester United are ready to rush through an improved contract for teenage sensation Marcus Rashford, whose winner against Manchester City last weekend was his fifth senior goal for the Red Devils since debuting against FC Midtijylland in February.

They had planned to offer the 18-year-old a new contract at the end of the season but his impressive form, coupled with the hype surrounding the young forward, has convinced them to bring it forward. The fresh terms will see Rashford’s wages go up from £1000 per week to £15k per week – a 1400% pay rise according to The Metro.
