According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Chelsea are considering a shock swoop for Sunderland flop Emanuele Giaccherini, whilst The Sun report that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is ‘convinced’ he’ll seal a summer transfer to Manchester United.

The Italy international arrived at the Stadium of Light from Juventus in summer 2013 but failed to deliver on the accompanying hype, struggling to impress during his debut season before spending the majority of his second campaign sidelined through injury.

The 30-year-old is now on loan at Bologna and unlikely a fixture in Sam Allardyce’s long-term plans for the Wearside outfit. Nonetheless, Giaccherini’s stock remains high in Italy from his spells in Serie A, winning two league titles with Juventus and featuring regularly for the national team, and TMW claim incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is prepared to issue him another chance in the Premier League.

The 46-year-old, who bought and sold Giaccherini during his three seasons in charge of the Old Lady, is also targeting Juve frontman Simone Zaza.

Meanwhile, The Sun report that PSG star Zlatan Ibrahimovic is ‘convinced’ he’ll join Manchester United this summer. The 6 foot 5 striker, whose illustrious career has seen him claim twelve league titles, the 2012 Golden Foot and the 2013 Puskas award, is set to leave PSG on a free transfer.

Earlier this week, reports claimed the Sweden international has already held talks with allegedly incoming manager Jose Mourinho regarding a summer switch to Old Trafford, and The Sun allege Ibrahimovic is now ‘so convinced’ of a United transfer that he’s already preparing for life in England.

When asked about a move to the Premier League ahead of PSG’s Champions League clash with Chelsea yesterday evening, the 34-year-old replied; “I have another three months here and, then, what will happen? Big things will happen. Let’s just say I am in good shape.”
