The New Sergio Aguero - Lorenzo Gonzalez

According to The Independent, Sergio Aguero wants to end his career at Manchester City; whilst Mirror Football report that Tottenham Hotspur are preparing an improved contract for Hugo Lloris.

The Argentina international has fired the Citizens to two Premier League titles and a Capital One Cup since signing from Atletico Madrid in summer 2011, bagging 124 goals in 188 appearances across all competitions.

The 27-year-old has often been linked with a move to Barcelona or Real Madrid and the former club reportedly tried to sign him in summer 2014 before striking a deal for Liverpool frontman Luis Suarez.

But according to The Independent, Aguero has rejected El Clasico interest by informing City that he’s prepared to see out the remainder of his career at the Etihad. He’s now set to sign a contract extension until 2020.

Meanwhile, Mirror Football report that Tottenham Hotspur will offer Hugo Lloris an improved contract if they qualify for the Champions League this season.

The north Londoners are currently second in the Premier League table, ten points above fifth-placed Manchester United, and could also qualify for Europe’s top tournament through the Europa League.

A number of Europe’s top clubs have been linked with the France international during his four campaigns at White Hart Lane and interest could further increase during the summer transfer window, depending on his performances at Euro 2016.

But Spurs intend to fend off suitors by agreeing a one-year contract extension with Lloris that will increase his wages to £100k per week. Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly aware that budgets will remain tight as Spurs embark on a move to a new stadium and doesn’t want the added cost of finding a replacement to his shot-stopping captain.
