According to reports from The Express, Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a new contract with Manchester United target Christian Eriksen.
The 23-year-old has bagged 29 goals in 115 appearances across all competitions since signing from Ajax in summer 2013, including a winner against Manchester City on Sunday to solidify Spurs’ position of second in the Premier League table.

He’s become a central pillar of the starting Xi under Mauricio Pochettino, featuring in all but three of his 64 Premier League fixtures as White Hart Lane boss, and according to The Express was targeted by Manchester United last summer.
The British newspaper suggest he’s still very much in the Red Devils’ transfer thoughts, but rumours of a lengthy contract extension emerged last week and The Daily Mail claim a deal is now close to completion.
According to The Express, however, who cite Football Insider, the Danish international has already agreed a new contract ‘in principle’ until 2021, worth a whopping £23million in its entirety.
That rules out any chance of United signing the attacking midfielder for at least the next few years, although it always seemed unlikely Eriksen would jump ship to a club three places lower than Spurs in the league table.
