According to The Daily Star, allegedly incoming Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will launch a £138million swoop for Bundesliga duo Thomas Muller and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, whilst The Express report that Arsenal want PSG defender Serge Aurier in a £11.7million summer transfer.

The Special One, widely tipped to replace Louis van Gaal at the end of the season or earlier, has already given his seal of approval to Ed Woodward’s planned £60million swoop for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has bagged 31 goals in 34 appearances across all competitions this season – including a Bundesliga return of 21 goals in as many appearances.

But The Daily Star suggests Mourinho is also keen to see United revive their interest in Bayern Munich’s versatile forward Thomas Muller, a German international famed for his industriousness, versatility and netting prowess. He’s scored ten times for Die Mannschaft during the last two World Cups and boasts 27 goals so far this season.

The British tabloid claim a double-swoop for both attackers will likely set the Red Devils back around £138million, with Muller valued at the £78million United were prepared to pay for him last summer. Both deals would set new record transfer fees for the Premier League.

Meanwhile, The Express – who cite reports from French publication L’Equipe – claim Arsenal are considering a £11.7million summer swoop for disgraced PSG defender Serge Aurier, who was suspended by the Ligue 1 champions last week for making derogatory remarks on camera about manager Laurent Blanc and several of his team-mates.

The Ivory Coast international has been suspended indefinitely and now looks set to be sold during the summer transfer window. But he was in excellent form prior to the incident, averaging 3.9 tackles, 3.6 interceptions, 3.2 clearances and 1.2 successful dribbles per match in the French top flight.

Arsenal targeted the 23-year-old before he moved to Parc de Princes, initially on loan, in summer 2014 and it’s claimed the Gunners will revive their interest now that PSG looking to sell. Aurier will predominantly provide competition for Hector Bellerin as a fellow right-back, but he has also featured as a left-back, a centre-half and a wide midfielder throughout his career.
