According to reports from Sky Sports, Liverpool and Manchester United target Ilkay Gundogan has admitted his future with Borussia Dortmund remains uncertain.
The German international was linked with a move to the Premier League last summer as his Black-Yellows contract entered its final year, but eventually penned a twelve-month extension at Westfalenstadion instead.
But with his new deal set to expire in summer 2017, a number of Europe’s top clubs are continuing to monitor the 25-year-old – including Liverpool and Manchester United, who were both linked by The Express last week.

In a significant boost to the transfer efforts of the Premier League duo, Gundogan has admitted during an interview with BILD that his future at Dortmund remains uncertain.
As quoted by Sky Sports, the midfielder told the German publication; “No decision has been taken yet and of course everything has to be thought through because the length of one’s career is limited. To be honest everything is still open.”
He did reveal, however, that if he decides to stay with Thomas Tuchel’s side past the summer, his next contract extension will be longer than a single year.
