According to reports from The Sun, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are both targeting Granada’s on-loan strike prodigy Adalberto Penaranda.

The Venezuelan strike starlet is just 18 years of age but has already marked his place in the annals of Spanish top flight history, becoming the youngest foreigner to bag a brace in La Liga during a 2-1 win over Levante last month – a record previously held by Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.

He also netted a winner against Sevilla last Sunday to bring his campaign total to an impressive four goals in seven league outings and that form has not gone unnoticed in the Premier League according to The Sun, who claim Liverpool and Tottenham are now battling it out to sign the 6 foot forward.

Penaranda, who was incredibly shot in the thigh by gunmen during a party in his native Venezuela last year, is currently on loan from Serie A side Udinese – which could delay any potential move to the Premier League until the end of the season.
