Out - Loic Remy

According to The Newcastle Chronicle, Newcastle United have been offered Chelsea striker Loic Remy; whilst FourFourTwo report that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger expects to make a signing within the next ten days.

France international Remy has seen just 146 minutes’ worth of action in the Premier League this season and will be desperate to secure greater playing time ahead of Euro 2016 on his home soil.

Last week, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Swansea City were all linked with potential bids for the 29-year-old, but the Newcastle Chronicle claim he’s been offered to the Magpies instead.

The striker spent a season on loan at St. James’ Park before signing for the Blues in summer 2014, bagging 14 goals in 26 Premier League appearances.

Meanwhile, FourFourTwo report that Arsene Wenger is hoping to secure Arsenal’s first signing of the January transfer window within the next ten days.

The Frenchman told reporters over the weekend; “I don’t give much away because I don’t know [what’s happening with transfers]. I want to talk about them and hopefully, we are capable of doing something in the next 10 days.”

The Gunners gaffer was most likely alluding to FC Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny, who is believed to have already passed a medical at the Emirates ahead of a £5million move.
