Jamie Vardy

According to reports from Sky Sports, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are all monitoring any developments over Jamie Vardy’s future at Leicester City.

The England international’s mesmerising form this season, bagging 15 goals and three assists in 20 appearances, has helped fire the Foxes to second in the table – whilst setting a new record of netting in eleven consecutive Premier League fixtures.

Reports yesterday revealed Leicester intend to offer the 28-year-old an improved contract that could more than double his salary to over £80k per week, amid rumoured interest from Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.

But according to Sky Sports, the Premier League trio will continue to monitor how developments unfold at the King Power Stadium, in the hope the 5 foot 10 striker fails to agree a new deal before the end of the transfer window.

Despite turning 29 later this month, Vardy remains an attractive proposition to Chelsea, City and United for three main reasons. Firstly, he’s been one of the Premier League’s form players this season, secondly, he’s not cup-tied in the Champions League and thirdly, signing him in January could well see the Foxes slump out of top four contention

Leicester are preparing a £90m bid to lure Aguero away from Man City.
No players at Chelsea or Man Utd have the pace to play at Leicester, so both of those clubs are safe from bids.
