According to reports from The Sun, Manchester City and Manchester United management target Pep Guardiola has already rejected the chance to take over at Chelsea next summer.
The Spaniard is widely regarded as one of the greatest managers of the modern era, having claimed two Champions League titles during his four years at Barcelona before lifting back-to-back Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich.

After announcing in December that he’ll be stepping down as Bavarians manager at the end of the season, the 44-year-old confirmed yesterday that he is leaving the Allianz Arena to work in the Premier League.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been put in the frame to appoint Guardiola ahead of next season by various sources – including The Independent.
But The Sun claim that the former Barca boss has already snubbed advances from the Premier League champions, who contacted him after sacking Jose Mourinho and before appointing Guus Hiddink as their interim manager.
The British tabloid further speculates Manchester City are currently leading the race for Guardiola’s services, but a quick response from Manchester United could swing him towards the Old Trafford hot seat instead. Arsenal, meanwhile, remain rank outsiders.
