According to reports from Turkish-Football, Arsenal and Manchester United target Oguzhan Ozyakup won’t be allowed to leave Besiktas in January – but president Fikret Orman has admitted the club may have to sell him in the summer.

The Dutch-born Turkey international, who spent four years with Arsenal’s academy ranks before moving to the Vodafone Arena in summer 2012, has emerged as the shining star of the Black Eagles’ starting Xi – and indeed the Turkish top flight in general – since the start of the season.

The 23-year-old has claimed four goals and five assists from midfield in eleven Super Lig appearances, whilst averaging the second-most created chances per match, 2.6, of any player throughout the division.

That scintillating form has seen the centre-mid linked with a return to the Emirates in recent weeks, whilst Premier League title rivals Manchester United are also believed to be targeting him ahead of the January transfer window.

And although Besiktas president Fikret Orman has insisted there is no way Ozyakup will be allowed to leave during the coming window, he has also admitted that the club will struggle to hold onto him next summer – especially if the 12-cap international performs well at the Euro 2016.

As quoted by Turkish-Football, who cite reports from Fanatik, he said; “He will not be leaving over the winter there is no way we can let that happen but after Euro 2016 I do not know if we will be able to keep him.
