According to reports from talkSPORT this morning, Juventus are ready to open talks with Chelsea over a permanent deal for on-loan winger Juan Cuadrado.
Chelsea signed the Colombian international for £23.3million in February after he bagged 20 goals in 85 Serie A appearances for former club Fiorentina – including an eleven-goal flurry during the 2013/14 campaign.
But the 27 year-old managed just 15 appearances across all competitions for the Blues, predominantly featuring from the subs bench, and failed to record a goal or assist.
He was allowed to return to Serie A during the summer after Chelsea acquired Pedro from Barcelona, this time joining division champions Juventus on a season-long loan.
And according to talkSPORT, who cite Italian publication TuttoSport, the Old Lady are now keen to negotiate a permanent deal for the South American winger after a strong start to his Juve career.
Cuadrado has already featured in three different positions for Massimo Allegri’s side – wing-back, winger-forward and No.10 – whilst averaging 1.2 interceptions, 3.2 successful dribbles and 2 created chances per match.
The sports radio station claim Chelsea would be prepared to sell for around £14.5million, incurring a £9million loss on an investment made just nine months ago.
