According to reports from The Express yesterday afternoon, Liverpool are on the verge of completing a deal for Barcelona winger Adama Traore.
The 19 year-old is widely viewed as one of La Masia’s most exciting products and has already made significant headway with the first team, finding one goal in two Copa del Rey outings last season.

He also boasts eight goals in 63 appearances for the club’s second string, Barcelona B. But they were relegated to the Spanish third tier at the end of last term, which has seen a number of the Nou Camp’s brightest prospects linked with moves away this summer.
Traore was linked with a loan move to Everton last month but The Express claim he’s now verging on a permanent departure with Merseyside rivals Liverpool.
Citing Spanish publication Sport, who also moot Manchester United as potential suitors of the Spain U19, they claim Traore has flown into Liverpool for a medical, hoping the Anfield outfit can quickly agree a fee with Barcelona.
Should the 5 foot 10 attacker sign for the Reds, he’ll become Brendan Rodgers’ seventh acquisition of the summer.
