According to reports from The Express this afternoon, the mother of Barcelona star Pedro has confirmed he’ll be moving to the Premier League this summer.

The 27 year-old has done it and won it all throughout his spells with the Catalans and the Spanish national team – winning five La Liga titles, three Champions League titles, the 2010 World Cup and the 2012 European Championship – but is expected to leave the Nou Camp this summer after slumping behind Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez in the pecking order.

He’s been strongly linked with Premier League foursome Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United, with the latter club believed to be in pole position for his signature.

Indeed, reports earlier this week revealed the 51-cap international has already informed friends that he’s heading for Old Trafford, with the Red Devils eyeing him as the perfect replacement for PSG-bound Angel Di Maria.

And reports from The Express this afternoon cement those claims, with Pedro’s mother allegedly informing San Isidro president Jaime Lorenzo that the 5 foot 6 attacker is on the verge of a move to England.

San Isidro was Pedro’s first club and Lorenzo has informed radio station El Larguero that fourth tier outfit will receive a small windfall from his Nou Camp departure.

“The other day, Pedro’s mother told us he was leaving for England,” said Lorenzo. “”I think it would be a good challenge for him and he will have more playing time.

“We will send him a gift! If the agreement is €30 million (£21m) at least €450,000 (£316,350) belongs to us, even though these contracts have some specific clauses,” he added.
