According to reports from The Metro this afternoon, Liverpool are lining up three signings to replace Raheem Sterling if the England international joins Manchester City this summer.

As This Is Futbol revealed last month, Sterling’s refusal to extend his Anfield contract past summer 2017 has triggered interest from the reigning Premier League champions, who are in desperate need of youthful and home-grown talent to address their ageing squad.

Liverpool have valued the 20 year-old at a whopping £50million – and according to The Metro, they’ve already made plans in regards to how they’ll reinvest.

The British newspaper claim the Reds are plotting an audacious triple swoop, with Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke, PSV prodigy Memphis Depay and City’s own James Milner firmly in their sights.

Benteke has been in sensational form since Tim Sherwood took the Villa Park reins from Tim Sherwood in February, going on to net ten goals in ten appearances across all competitions. As This Is Futbol revealed earlier this week, the Birmingham outfit value their star centre-forward at £30million.

Likewise, Depay has claimed 27 goals for PSV this season, firing himself to the top of the Eredivisie’s scoring charts and the Dutch outfit to their first league title since 2008. As This Is Futbol revealed earlier today, Sporting Director Marcel Brands has declared Liverpool to be amongst the front-runners for the 21 year-old’s signature, who is valued around the £25million mark.

That leaves £5million to convince James Milner to move to Anfield on a free transfer, with his Etihad contract coming to an end this summer.
