According to reports from The Express this morning, Manchester United will announce a £20million deal for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan this weekend.
The German international will be leaving the Black-Yellows this summer after rejecting the opportunity to extend his contract past the end of the next season – as This Is Futbol revealed earlier this month.
And the 24 year-old, best famed for his intrinsic role in Dortmund’s surprise march to the 2013 Champions League final, is in hot demand with the Red Devils, Arsenal and Bayern Munich all reportedly keen to whisk him away from Westfalen in the coming transfer window – as This Is Futbol revealed in April.
But according to The Express, the Old Trafford outfit have now won the race for Gundogan’s signature. They’ve already agreed personal terms and a £20million transfer fee, but will wait to announce the deal until after the midfielder’s final game for Dortmund – the German Cup final this Saturday.
