Over the years, Tottenham’s academy has produced some of the finest talents to ever grace English football, including the likes of Glenn Hoddle, Ledley King and Greame Souness – not to mention the England national team’s latest hero Harry Kane.

They’ve also proved themselves to be one of the Premier League’s most efficient in cherry-picking developing talents from other clubs and nurturing them into world stars – Gareth Bale and Luka Modric being amongst the most recent examples.

Unfortunately, however, not every budding youngster who’s passed through the White Hart Lane doors has gone on to equal success – in fact, quite the opposite.

So in homage to those who didn’t quite make the grade, This Is Futbol have searched the darkest corners of the internet to find the FIVE Spurs prodigies all once tipped for greatness who flopped the most spectacularly – with a brief update on what they’re up to now.

    You haven’t got it right with Mido. How about Jonathon Blondel or Giovanni Dos Santos?

      Jonathan Blondel is a shout – slipped my mind in all honesty. Didn’t include Dos Santos because he’s gone on to have a good career since leaving Spurs.
