Radamel Falcao

According to a recent poll by The Evening Standard, Manchester United fans would prefer Javier Hernandez to return to Old Trafford next season over seeing Radamel Falcao issued a permanent deal.

The Mexico international is currently out on loan at Real Madrid, where he’s struggled to have any considerable impact on the first team – scoring just four times in 20 appearances across all competitions.

Yet, Chicarito’s rate for the Red Devils stands at 59 in 154, including 37 in 102 in the Premier League, an impressive return considering just under half of his appearances have been made from the bench.

Radamel Falcao, on the other hand, has already cost United a considerable fortune in wages during his one-season loan from Monaco, despite netting only four times in 19 appearances thus far, and will reportedly set the Old Trafford outfit back another £43million if he’s to be signed permanently this summer – as claimed by Manchester Evening News.

And according to The Evening Standard’s poll, 51% of Red Devils supporters want Hernandez to take Falcao’s place in United’s squad next year.

With such a slim majority however, the repetitive issue of Falcao’s tepid performances is clearly creating quite the debate up in Manchester.
