Paulo Dybala

According to reports from The Metro yesterday evening, Juventus sporting director Beppe Marotta has publicly confirmed the Italian champions are in talks to sign Palermo prodigy Paulo Dybala.

The 21 year-old’s 13 goals and ten assists in 30 Serie A appearances this season have seen him emerge as one of Europe’s most sought-after front-men, and also earned him comparisons with Sergio Aguero, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has made no secret of his desire to cash-in on the prodigious Argentine, even claiming he’ll be sold by the end of April – as This Is Futbol revealed earlier this month.

Unfortunately for mooted suitors Arsenal and Manchester United, however, it appears Dybala’s next destination will be Turin.

Quotes from Dybala that surfaced yesterday evening revealed he can’t speak a word of English, loves Serie A and wants to play alongside Juve’s iconic playmaker Andrea Pirlo – as reported by This Is Futbol.

And Beppe Moratta has now confirmed talks are already underway to sign the forward this summer.

“Dybala is an objective – we are talking to Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini,” said Marotta.

“But the negotiations are difficult because there are other clubs interested. We are tracking him along with some very experienced players, as that is valuable in Europe,” he added.
